HAIL THE CASSOULET CHAMPIONS
They came, they cooked, they conquered. Let us honor the victors of past Cassoulet Wars.
Since 2014, this epic D’Artagnan event has been held in New York City annually (and virtually in 2021). Over 20 chefs bring their best cassoulet and dole out bowls of ambrosia, hoping to earn the top title. A panel of eminent judges from the culinary world blind-taste each cassoulet and choose a victor in two categories: the truest and most traditional cassoulet and the most daring and inventive cassoulet. The guests also voted a champion for The People’s Choice. Many prizes are awarded: fine wine, bottles of rare Armagnac, a trip to France, and beautiful trophies - not to mention bragging rights forever. Until the next time, we invite you to reflect on the heroes of past bean battles.
